Allison Ussery, AMFT #157106
Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist

I’m called to provide therapy that sheds light on what you find the most important and helps you learn to explore what you find difficult. My goal is to create a space where you can connect with your core values, process challenging experiences, and gain practical skills to build a more authentic and fulfilling life.

My approach is equitable, affirming, and anti-oppressive. I am committed to understanding how systems of discrimination and historical injustice impact your mental health. For you, this means a therapy space where all parts of your identity are seen, respected, and understood, especially those that may feel stigmatized or invisible in the wider world.

I’ve worked mostly with adults ages 18 to 65, and I have a strong, data-driven track record of excellent client care with both couples and individuals. I draw from several powerful, client-centered methods:

  • Existential & Humanistic: We will explore the "big picture" questions of meaning, purpose, and identity. This approach trusts in your inherent capacity for growth and helps you make conscious choices that align with your true self.
  • Gestalt Therapy: This helps us focus on the "here and now." By paying attention to your present-moment thoughts, feelings, and physical sensations, you can gain powerful insight into old patterns and develop new self-awareness.
  • Relational Therapy: I believe the therapeutic relationship itself is a tool for healing. We will build a genuine, trusting, and collaborative connection where you can safely explore your attachment patterns, heal relational wounds, and practice new, healthier ways of connecting with others.

I hope to find a place in your journey and welcome you into mine.

Taking the first step isn’t easy. Whether you’re ready to start working together or just want to know more, I’d be honored to hear from you. Reach out today and book a free consultation.
