Christina Court, AMFT #156283
Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist

Welcome. I’m glad you’re here.

I offer telehealth therapy to adults, couples, children, and families across California. Whether you're facing a specific challenge or simply seeking a safe space to explore your thoughts and emotions, I’m here to support you on your journey toward healing and personal growth.

My approach is integrative—relational, strength-based, growth-oriented, and influenced by cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and narrative therapy. I work with clients navigating a wide range of experiences, including identity exploration, life transitions, relationship loss, complex family dynamics, childhood trauma, and grief. Across these diverse challenges, a common theme often emerges: the search for self-understanding and clarity. Questions like:

• Who am I in relation to my loved ones, my community, and the world?

• Why do I feel stuck, lost, or burnt out?

• Why don’t my relationships work?

• What’s the point of all this?

These questions often lead to one deeper inquiry: What is the best way forward?

Therapy is a space where you can reflect, heal, and grow. I don’t have your answers—you do. My role is to help you uncover them. I’ll walk beside you, offering insight, encouragement, and a steady presence as you navigate the unknown. I’ll help shine a light when the path feels dark and celebrate your progress—even the small wins you might not notice yourself.

I work best with motivated clients who are ready for change, even if they’re unsure where to begin. Together, we’ll explore your past to understand the roots of your pain—not to dwell there, but to transform it into energy for growth. Integration and acceptance are central to our work. I encourage curiosity and self-compassion, helping you move forward without judgment.

For couples therapy, I incorporate research-based methods from the Gottman Institute to help partners build stronger, more resilient relationships. I’ve completed Levels 1, 2, and 3 of Gottman Method Couples Therapy training, which equips me to support couples in improving communication, deepening emotional connection, and navigating conflict with greater understanding and care.

Therapy with me is active and intentional. I bring a gentle but firm approach to keep our work focused and meaningful. Through dialogue, I attune to both your words and your nonverbal cues, guiding you toward clarity and inner knowing from your own frame of reference.

If our work is successful, you’ll leave with a deeper sense of self—able to move through life with balance, confidence, and clarity.

On a personal note, I’m a formally trained fine artist with a focus on body-mind balance, and I bring that creative, intuitive lens to my client work. I believe in practicing what I preach, and I integrate the same principles I offer in session into my own life.

Before becoming a therapist, I held diverse roles—from the arts sector to human resources office management in a fast-paced investment firm. These experiences, along with my own journey through therapy, give me a well-rounded perspective on the human experience. I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Rhode Island School of Design and a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology with a Concentration in Expressive Arts from the California Institute of Integral Studies.
